SAFC's Revolving Film Fund
01-03-2010
Part of SASIC's focus in the upcoming months includes preparing and writing a formal document to present to government that will lobby for increased funding for the SAFC’s Revolving Film Fund. The Revolving Film Fund (RFF) is a $3 million financing facility administered by the South Australian Film Corporation. The aim of the RFF is to move projects into production by cashflowing presales, marketplace and bank guarantees, and the Producer's Offset. Co Chairs Kate Croser, Claire Harris and Deputy Chair Julie Byrne are meeting with Richard Harris, SAFC CEO, Defrim Isai Head, Screen Industry Programs and SAFC’s lawyer Greg Marsh to discuss the RFF and cashflow finance. We want to work out ways we can effectively represent SASIC membership as a voice to government. This focus ties directly with SASIC’s objectives, which are to represent the South Australian screen-based industries, to foster their further growth and to advocate support for all South Australian key creatives is given precedence by relevant South Australian government support agencies.
