Industry Day 2010
01-03-2010
SASIC has begun scoping this year's industry day or weekend, set for later this year. Part of the role of SASIC’s new administrator, a position made possible through SAFC support, is to focus on this event. The first step will be preparing a scoping document in consultation with industry and SASIC members.
SASIC envisages the event to include:
* a networking forum for industry members and foster greater camaraderie and understanding between the different facets of our industry
* providing a voice for the industry and a forum for industry concerns to be heard by government
* facilitating industry feedback and involvement in setting the strategic direction for the SAFC and government
* revisiting the aims and recommendations of the 2007 screen industry forums and evaluate our current position
* allowing SA industry practitioners to hear from and debate best practice with guest speakers in the local industry and the wider national and possibly international industry
The administrator will consult widely with industry at the initial planning and scoping stage of the event, including meeting with the following stakeholders and implementing round table discussions with:
SPAA
AWG
IPI
ADG
ACS
SAFC
MRC
Heads of Department Glenside Advisory Group
AFTRS & other key training institutions
Screen Australia
BAFF
AIDC, and others that are identified

Also the revised website will make it easier for SASIC members to communicate with the Council and we hope to hear from you.
